DOCUMENTARY by Twelve Stone Studio: “one away”
Help us tell the story of a once-in-a-generation - FOR NOW - LV football season!
Last season, the La Vernia Bears made the deepest playoff run in school history — one game away from the State Championship. For the players, coaches, and this whole community, it was more than just football. It was belief. Grit. Respect. Bear Pride.
This isn’t just a football film. It’s the story of our town at it’s very best.
from locker room speeches to game-winning touchdowns — and even a surprise pep rally where Santa clause landed on the field in a helicopter — we captured it all with cinematic cameras, professional audio, and a true look into the heart of the team.
While this film celebrates a truly historic season, it’s not just about the past. It’s a tribute to the momentum building across our entire athletic program — a reminder of what’s possible when a community rallies around its teams. Last year’s run was unforgettable. But in so many ways, it feels like we’re just getting started.
If we don’t hit our goal, we’ll scale the project down into a shorter tribute film (5–7 minutes), still beautifully crafted but tighter in scope. We’ll include as much footage and emotion as we can and honor every contribution made.
In every scenario: Donors will still be credited, The film will still be released free to the public, and you’ll be part of preserving a season this town will never forget.
We’re ready to give this project our full creative focus. Hitting our fundraising goal of $7,500 will allow us to put all our energy on telling this story — not just squeezing it in. That covers music licenses, video licensing for broadcast video/commentary), editing time, post-production, motion graphics, and infrastructure (storage, backups, etc.).
We’re committed to telling the story — whatever it takes. But with your help, we can tell it right.
This is an independent project by Twelve Stone Studio and is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by La Vernia ISD, the football program, or the UIL. All footage used with permission. The final film will be released as a community tribute, free to all.
